Hi Chris! I feel for you. I’ve had similar problems in getting VPSs created with VPSLand.

Please be wary of signing them up to spam, adware and porn sites. This is quite possibly illegal in your country.

yesterday i opened an account with VPSLAND.com. i payed for my Vps recieved the payment reciept in my email.

then i waited for my info. it never came.

i emailed support asking how long the process takes and they emailed me back within the hour saying up to 24 hours.

immediately after that, they emailed me again saying my card declined and i need to pay the balance. i called my bank and they informed me that it went through no problem. i emailed vpsland support around 15 times trying to explain that it went through, i even sent a copy of my bank statement. they still disagreed. now i am going to chargeback, and proceed to signing thier emails up to varios spam, adware, and porn sites. good day

haha, The use of the test credit card number was ingenious. I would have never thought of it.

Mitch: chargeback would have been a great way to go had I thought of it, but I think it might go against me if I update the system with the correct card details now in order to do this – premeditated act, might be construed as willingness to pay…

A good move that you changed the credit card number. As I was reading, I was pretty sure they’d attempt charging it. Way too much of a cheap shot from their end.

You can contest anything you pay for with a credit card, if you don’t receive the goods, even if the provider is a steaming pile of poo. For example, those who bought Ansett tickets shortly before Ansett departed on the great runway to the sky were able to claim the money back from their card company (and received it too).

If you want to annoy the poo, make a “chargeback” claim to your card company against the merchant. Merchants *hate* them, as they have to cough up AND pay costs to the card issuer.
